 Engraving the glasses

The majority of the glasses here are crafted from recycled wine and spirit bottles. Each bottle is carefully washed, then cut to the required size. The edges are meticulously sanded down to ensure there are no sharp parts, making the glasses safe to handle.

Afterward, skilled artisans hand-engrave intricate designs onto each glass. The engraving process can take up to four hours for just one glass, depending on the level of detail required.

The more complex the design, the longer it will take to complete, resulting in a truly unique, handcrafted piece. This process combines sustainability with craftsmanship, ensuring each glass is both beautiful and eco-friendly.

So Kenya is where I am writing these words.  I say indeed what a magical and beautiful country it is.

One day you can gaze across the Savannah, watching a lion creep slowing through the plains getting closer and closer to its prey.  The next, you can be in sheer bliss with the sound of the gentle waves, whilst staring out across the ocean.     Read More
