The making of boxes from Banana Tree leaves

Banana tree
The eco-friendly presentation boxes used to package the glasses are crafted from the dry leaves of banana trees, showcasing a sustainable approach to material use.
If you observe a banana tree, you'll notice its structure: toward the top right, there is typically a bunch of green bananas hanging, a vibrant symbol of the tree’s fruitfulness.
On the lower sections of the tree, some leaves naturally dry out and turn brown. These dry leaves, often considered waste, are ingeniously repurposed into the durable and unique material used for the boxes.
The process involves carefully collecting the dried leaves without harming the tree or its productivity.
These leaves are then treated, flattened, and assembled to form sturdy panels for the boxes. This practice not only reduces agricultural waste but also supports a circular economy by turning discarded natural materials into functional and aesthetically pleasing packaging solutions.

The Workshop
The workshop currently serves as the primary space for crafting these eco-friendly boxes, showcasing an efficient yet compact setup.
Despite its modest size, the workshop plays a pivotal role in creating unique, sustainable packaging solutions. However, plans are underway to expand and build a larger, more equipped facility. This expansion will significantly enhance production capacity, making it easier to accommodate larger orders and improve workflow efficiency.

With the additional space, the workshop will be able to streamline operations, incorporate new tools, and potentially create more job opportunities for the local community. This growth reflects a commitment to both scaling up sustainability efforts and meeting increasing demand while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship that define these products.
